This website keeps the legacy of a patriarch, a pioneer senior telecommunications technician, the first person to be literate in his community, a visionary and a selfless man, Zechariahs Andu-tabe Agbormbai (1916 -1981), alive. Born sometime in 1916 even though he himself said he was born around 1910, young Zechariahs left his village of Sabes, in Manyu Division in the Southwest Region of Cameroon on foot; for one of the first primary schools in Cameroon, Basel Mission School Besong-Abang, where he finished his lower primary education. He left Besong-Abang on foot for Buea in Fako Division in the Southwest Region of Cameroon to pursue his higher primary education in Basel Mission School, Buea. After his higher primary education, he got employed as a general laborer in the Post and Telecommunications Department in 1934, where he rose to the position of Senior Technician after apprenticeships and formal training in P&T School, Enugu in Nigeria. With his little financial resources, coupled with his enormous foresight, he virtually mentored the whole village. He sent almost all the first elites from Sabes to school and placed them on various professions upon completion of their education. There was always a multitude of people in his home. In a nutshell he loved to share the little he had with others, so let us keep his legacy alive by donating generously to causes he cared about.
